MSC Opera raise over R430 000 at charity event

At a charity luncheon and auction held on board MSC Opera in Cape Town Monday, 11 November 2013, MSC Cruises helped raise over R430 000 for the Ukuthemba Foundation, a local organisation which provides safe and loving home environments for vulnerable and abandoned children.

MSC Opera raise over R430 000 at charity event

Following a Burlesque show and lunch, the guests in attendance made a series of generous bids for the auction items on offer, raising much needed monies for the charity. Bidders walked away with prizes including cruises, paintings, jewellery, shopping and pamper experiences and holidays.

MSC Cruises has been supporting the Ukuthemba Foundation since 2009.

MSC Opera's first call in Cape Town in the start of the local season was an ideal fund raising opportunity.
