LinkedIn's first SA Talent Awards

The awards highlight the success of employers, individuals and teams headquartered in South Africa using LinkedIn to make a significant impact within their organisations. LinkedIn’s insights team analyse the performance, results and impact organisations have when finding, hiring and retaining top talent.
LinkedIn, a business-focused social networking site is the world's largest professional network with hundreds of millions of members. In South Africa, some six million professionals have profiles on LinkedIn, with more than 270,000 local companies represented, and 170,000 jobs on offer.
The theme for the awards, to be held in Sandton on 18 October, is “Talent Intelligence”, using data and insights to make people a business’s competitive advantage.
Expanding opportunities for youth
Keynote speaker Tashmia Ismail-Saville, CEO of the Youth Employment Service (YES), will share insights on expanding opportunities for youth. YES is a groundbreaking business-led collaboration with government and labour to create one million work opportunities for youth.
She will be joined by David Whelan, head of Africa, LinkedIn Talent Solutions.

Finalists
The event will be attended by more than 100 executives from across South Africa to hear from thought leaders, celebrate success and network with peers.
Winners will be awarded in the following categories: top social recruiter, best talent acquisition team, best employer brand on LinkedIn, LinkedIn rising star, and best culture of learning.
Finalists include Shoprite, Standard Bank, Jumo.World, Capitec, Nedbank, Discovery, Sasol, Derivco, GIBS Business School, and BroadReach.
