3rd SAARF One-Day Media Research Symposium

The third annual SAARF One-Day Media Research Symposium is being held by SAARF to provide all stakeholders from the advertising, marketing, media and research industries the opportunity to be informed by leading international experts in the field of Media Research, of the latest worldwide developments and trends.

The symposium will be held at the Crowne Plaza, Sandton, on Thursday, 3 October 2002. Again speakers from all over the world have been invited to present papers on subjects that are of importance to us in South Africa, thereby helping us to understand better how other countries are coping with the complexities of media audience and product measurement in an increasingly fragmented market.

Once again there will be an update on Data Fusion, which is widely regarded as a technology that will help us address some of the research challenges of the future, a review on the development of readership measurement over the past 20 years, a presentation on the latest electronic Television and Radio Audience Measurement Technology currently being evaluated in several countries, and new ideas in the electronic measurement of Outdoor Advertising Media.

Invited overseas guests are, Sheila Byfield, Steve Wilcox and Roger Gane from the UK and Paul Donato and Jay Guyther from the USA.

For a full programme of the event, registration forms and details of sponsorship opportunities available, visit SAARF's website at www.saarf.co.za and click on 'SAARF Symposium' in the left menu.
