European Media Research Organisation feedback session

SAARF will hold a feedback session on the European Media Research Organisation (EMRO) conference, which took place earlier this year in France, at the Bryanston Country Club on Thursday, 31 July 2008. EMRO is active in 21 European countries, including South Africa as the only member outside the European Union.

The objective of EMRO is to promote contact between organisations engaged in producing the national currency research such as AMPS, RAMS and TAMS and between the people involved in the management, planning and execution of the research.

During the annual EMRO conference, there is an intensive international exchange of research experience and it provides the best possible forum for researchers working in this highly specialised field to learn from each other. The 2008 EMRO conference took place in Biarritz, France, at the end of May 2008and six South Africans attended.

“As EMRO also provides the ideal opportunity for us to compare our own currency research with the best in Europe, it is important that we report back to our own industry from time to time on where we stand relative to other countries,” says SAARF.

This event will take place at the Bryanston Country Club on Thursday 31 July 2008 at 4pm for 4.30pm. Welcome drinks and snacks will be provided. There is no cost involved to attend, but to determine the venue size and catering requirements, SAARF needs to know how many people will be attending. If you would like to attend, email requesting a form or call Jeanette on +27 (0(11) 463 5340 to RSVP.
