Vodafone releases iPhone Jan 2010

Vodafone UK will release the iPhone, Apple's mobile internet-based handset, on 14 January 2010.

The new handset is not competing with its rivals O2 and Orange on price for the smartphone, leaving Tesco Mobile as the only network to offer the device for a cheaper price. Tesco Mobile released the handset in December 2009. At the time, Stuff Magazine's editor Fraser MacDonald predicted its 12-month iPhone tariffs could prove to be its most popular offer.
