TomTom announced last week the arrival of three new personal navigation devices for the South African market, Start, XXL and GO 750.

“The new products enrich our offering in South Africa by providing our customers with a varied choice to match their individual preferences and needs,” says Joost Jetten, vice president sales sub-Sahara Africa of TomTom. “Frequent drivers may prefer the GO 750 with hands-free calling, whereas other drivers may prefer the larger screen of the XXL or the simplicity and personalisation of Start.”

All products will be available from retailers across South Africa in November 2009. The TomTom Start will be available at Makro and Game, and comes with a map of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland, at a recommended retail price of R1399. The XXL with a map of Southern Africa, which covers Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia has a recommended retail price of R2499. The GO 750 has a map of Southern Africa and European maps of 45 countries at a recommended retail price of R2999.
