Better comms basket for SMMEs

MTN has created a basket of communication solutions it says is aimed at assisting small to medium enterprise owners.

Small businesses are increasingly becoming a way of life in South Africa, with the number of small to medium enterprises (SMMEs) flourishing. More than ever, South Africans who opt to open their own businesses are expressing an entrepreneurial spirit. Hence, there is an ever-growing need for communications solutions to suit the small to medium business owner.

To fulfil the demands of the small to medium enterprise, the company offers a range of five communication solutions designed to assist SMMEs.

Key Contacts allow customers to create a list of five frequently called numbers that suits their specific business communications needs. This is claimed to offer them a reduction of as much as 30% off calls to their five most dialled pre-selected numbers; a discount of 30% applies on all national voice calls to pre-selected Key Contacts numbers on the company's network. There is a 10% discount on all national voice calls to pre-selected Key Contacts numbers that are on a fixed-line network, and a 5% discount on all national voice calls to pre-selected Key Contacts numbers that are on other cellular networks

Tollfree customers carry the cost of the call, but consumers can phone a business free of charge, and this service is designed to be a tool for building solid customer relationships.

imail is a fully integrated web-based mailbox management tool that enables the SMME owner to access their voice mail, fax mail and video mail from their computer, no matter where in the world they are.

Active is designed to give the customer online access to their billing and usage details. Detailed billing information including itemised billing with up to 13 months historical information is available.
