Fifth generation Intel Core Processors across Acer mobiles

Acer has announced it will be including the fifth generation Intel Core Processors across its mobile lines, starting with its line of R13 convertible notebooks and award-winning S7 Ultrabooks. In addition, the R13 and S7 will also incorporate the newest 802.11ac wireless specification for fast and more reliable Internet connections.

The core processor is designed to improve performance, graphics and battery life over the previous model, the 4th Generation Intel Core U (Haswell) processor. The ultrafast 802.11ac wireless networking standard is up to three times faster than the previous generation spec (802.11n) and offers improved coverage for distance and range.

The Aspire R13 Series and Aspire S7 Series will be available in South Africa towards the end of Q1 2015.
