Sweet competition rewards local trader
The in-store promotion, which was run in conjunction with Makro, from October to November 2008, encouraged traders to purchase any product across the Cadbury candy product range and stand in line to win. The participating Cadbury products included Halls, Endearmints, Cadbury Eclairs and Cadbury P.S. Eclairs. For every purchase made traders simply had to sms the barcode on pack to the number provided to stand a chance of winning.
The lucky 55-year-old winner was drawn from over 1000 entries. She was awarded her prize by Solly Ramosa, regional account manager, at a special handover held at Makro Germiston on Friday, 9 February 2009.
“We launched this promotion to create excitement in stores as well as heighten trader awareness of Cadbury's affordable candy bag sizes.
