Animation fills the 2D gap
Johannesburg-based blurr productions has taken their animation delivery on a different path - 2D animation. Using Toon Boom's Solo, the first local purchase of this Emmy award winning animation software, blurr productions hopes to increase animation delivery to clients with an accessible and fun communication style.
A security company has requested a video explaining their security processes to their customers. Through the use of a typical South African family, the script will take customers through these often dull explanations, in a humorous and memorable way.
Illustrator Nigel Babb, of Burning Duck, has been the custodian of the client's characters for their internal communications and is now developing a whole family of characters for the 2D video, which will be animated by director, Harry Ravelomanantsoa, on Toon Boom Solo.
