Sithengi 2001 - Africa's Premier Media Event
The local media industry is justifiably excited at the approach of Sithengi 2001, the 6th Edition of The Southern African International Film and Television Market. Featuring an exhibition/trade show, conferences, educational meetings, workshops, pitching forums, a film festival, market screenings, seminars, training workshops and numerous networking functions, Sithengi will be attracting over 1500 delegates from more than 42 countries. These delegates will include broadcasters, producers, sales agencies for studio networks and television channels, international buyers and co-producers, independant producers, directors and film professionals.
Sithengi will consist of two main programmes - the Product Market, which will deal with the buying and selling of completed products; and the Pitching Forum, which will deal with the buying and selling of ideas, like film and television programmes yet to be made which may require development or co-production partners, or a combination of investment and pre-sales.
