Reward of R10k for White Lion tapes
Master tapes of Chop Productions’ movie White Lion were stolen on Tuesday when a PA delivering the tapes to Videolab had his car stolen. Producers are desperate to get the tapes back, starting an email and sms campaign among friends and colleagues in the industry.
A reward of R10 000 has been offered and if anyone comes across the tapes, please call producer Ben Horowitz on Cell: 0825954626 or production manager, Carine Stander on Cell: 0828536471.
White Lion is a coming-of-age story told through the adventures of a white lion, "Letsatsi" (The Sun), whose differences as a white vs - tawny - lion make life very difficult for him. His wild, exultant, and sometimes heartbreaking, and ultimately triumphant journey, against all odds, takes him from helpless cub, to rebellious teenager, and, finally, into a strong and capable adult, with a pride of his own.
The dream and vision of executive producer, Rodney Fuhr, one of the owners of The Lion Park, White Lion is produced by Kevin Richardson, a top South African animal trainer, with Michael Swan as cinematographer.
