Entrants are encouraged to have fun in one of the following categories: Drama, Thriller, Action, Comedy or Sci-Fi. Key requirements are sticking to the required length of two minutes and 41 seconds and that the ACT II brand must be included somewhere in the film.
A short film has been produced in conjunction with The Public Pool to promote the event and can be viewed on the contest website, www.project241.co.za. The film gives students an idea of what can be achieved on film in two minutes and 41 seconds.
Five randomly selected films will appear on the website every week for public voting. The closing date for entries is 27 October 2006 and winners will be announced on10 November 2006.
