Sarie special becomes a permanent serving

Sarie is once again cooking at the highest temperatures with Sarie Kos, its stand-alone food magazine, which has become a permanent addition to the menu and will now be published quarterly.
Sarie special becomes a permanent serving

The autumn issue will be on sale from the end of April and according to Barbara Joubert, those that enjoyed the first issue can look forward to more “honest soul food to complete any dinner table”.

The first Sarie Kos, launched end September 2007, sold a phenomenal 35,435 copies within a matter of days. This reaction exceeded all expectations and the print run was subsequently increased to 60,000, allowing those readers that just can't get enough of Barbara's recipes in Sarie, to now also enjoy a Sarie Kos in their kitchens.

Sarie Kos follows the same format as Sarie, with four clear subsections: stylkos, droomkos, tuiskos and my kos. Delicious food articles, recipes (each illustrated with a photo), columns and many handy hints and innovations make each section unique and inspiring.

With recipes that have not been published before, Barbara shares her passion for food with everyone that loves to sit and chat around a long table, or those that have to get dinner on the table after work in no time.

Sarie's editor, Michélle van Breda, says that the excellent sales of the new edition have excited the entire editorial team. “This is the most enjoyable project to work on. The fact that that our new magazine was so well received by readers motivates us to not only to keep providing a quality product to the market, but also one that they can truly benefit from and keep on enjoying.”

At a cover price of R29,95, the autumn 2008 issue of Sarie Kos will be available on shelf from 30 April. The team is also planning inspiring issues for winter, spring and summer, which will be on sale from 2 July, 1 October and 10 December 2008 respectively.
