JD Group takes 15% in Blake & Associates
Furniture group JD Group announced on Tuesday, 24 March 2009, that it has purchased a further 15% stake in Blake & Associates from the founding members, thereby increasing its controlling shareholding from 55% to 70%.
The founding members have maintained a 30% shareholding in Blake and continue to be involved in its operations on an ongoing basis.
Blake provides multilingual solutions locally and abroad, utilising its contact centres and consulting services as a means of delivering its services which cover a broad range of activities such as customer services, telesales, customer retention, collections, data intelligence, software support and business process outsourcing.
"Blake's services are utilised within the Group, particularly within the new Financial Services contact centre in Randburg. The acquisition will, inter alia, strengthen the Group's debt collecting ability," JD Group said.
