Track the Cape Epic riders online
All Absa Cape Epic rider teams are once again being live-tracked this year. Tracker has again been entrusted with the tracking of all 1,250 riders, spanning across 625 teams over the 8-day event via mobile GPS tracking devices.
As one of the world's major mountain bike races, it is important for race organisers to monitor riders at all times. Ride Epic 2 will once again give users the opportunity to follow their favourite Absa Cape Epic Riders live from now until 22 March 2015. By entering the team number on the site, users will be able to find the exact location of any registered rider throughout the gruelling event.
Ride Epic 2 Game also back
The Ride Epic 2 platform also gives users the opportunity to participate in the Ride Epic 2 game, made popular in 2014, its inception year.
From the now until 30 March 2015, the game will challenge participants to navigate through a fresh, new online course, collecting points and avoiding obstacles. Each round played will add to the user's total score, allowing them to climb up the Leaderboard and claim overall victory.
Through its sponsors, the winner receives a grand prize including R25,000, a Fuji Tahoe 1.3D 2015 edition Mountain Bike from Cycle Lab worth R15,000 and a two-night stay for two people at the Meerendal Wine Estate Boutique Hotel. In addition, there will be daily prizes from Go-Pro, Hansgrohe, Oakley, Execujet and Tracker Ride Free.
