SABC: A blast from the past
NEWSWATCH: Following Clifford Motsepe's departure from the SABC board, one name that has come up as a replacement is that of former board member Noluthando Gosa, reports Times Live. Meanwhile, Anton Harber, writing in BDlive suggests that before rushing to find a replacement for Jimmy Manyi as Cabinet spokesman, the powers-that-be should take a look at the role.

Isn't that a little strange? The appointment of a new board member is quite important, surely, so shouldn't KK have all the facts at his fingertips; after all, there are bound to be questions about each candidate and what skills, experience and what-have-you they could bring to the position.

And still on the issue of communication, Anton Harber reckons that before jumping the gun and replacing former Cabinet spokesman Jimmy Manyi, whose contract was not renewed, the government should take a look at the roles the job demands... and split it.
