Arivia.kom supports South Africa's top gender empowerment guide
Investing in diversity in human capital is at the core of arivia.kom's employment policy, and its strategic alliance with Top Women in Business and Government is further testament to its commitment to growth through diversity in its operations and the upliftment of women at grass root level through their numerous CSI policies. The partnership sees arivia.kom profiling its female role players whilst highlighting its progressive human resource policies, which sees the recruitment, retention and advancement of women throughout their organisation.
arivia.kom's corporate structure reflects its commitment with strong female leaders in key positions including Ann Tshepo Ngutshane, Human Resources Executive. Ngutshane commented on arivia's gender policy "...arivia.kom's vision to become the dominant ICT solutions company in Africa is hugely dependant on the extent to which we attract, develop and retain our human capital, whilst actively promoting our commitment to strategic business imperatives such as gender equity. As a responsible corporate citizen with a proud gender equity track record, arivia.kom is delighted to be associated with the Top Women in Business and Government initiative, which recognises South African organisations demonstrating the greatest commitment to, and achievement in the promotion of workplace equality for women. We must never underestimate the powerfully motivating effect that is derived by women who are struggling to achieve recognition and respect within their chosen fields, when observing women achievers in all spheres of government and business being given the respect, recognition and acclaim that is due to them..."
2005's Top Women in Business and Government, set for release in August, focuses on organisations that have successfully implemented gender equity policies and how these policies have benefited their business operations. It is these policies, as exemplified by arivia.kom, as well as other key empowerment practices, that are vital to the successful progression of women in business and to the creation of an enabling framework that sees women successfully participate in the mainstream economy.
Organisations use Top Women in Business and Government to profile their company's gender empowerment policies and the strides they have made by mainstreaming women into the economy. Their inclusion in the publication marks their investment in the value-creation offered through diversification in human capital, showcasing their commitment to both gender and broad-base empowerment.
Top Women in Business and Government will soon be announcing the details of the annual Awards Gala to be held 10 August 2005. Watch this space for updates on the Awards nominees and judges, as well as how to secure tickets to this glamorous event.
Top Women in Business and Government would like to take this opportunity to thank its sponsors who are an integral part of the publication. Arivia.kom, Industrial Development Corporation South Africa, Sentech, Edcon and Department of Land Affairs have elected to sponsor our dynamic publication as demonstration of their commitment to gender empowerment.
