Primedia launches new niche lifestyle publication

Aiming to redress an important issue in our society that is often ignored, Primedia Publishing is launching a new quarterly niche publication, 'Inspiration' - a lifestyle magazine for people living with spinal cord injuries.

Danette Faulds, Business Manager, Inspiration asserts: "The magazine will provide information and highlight resources and services available to people and families living with spinal cord injuries. Paralysis and spinal cord injuries affect South Africans of all ages, from babies to the elderly, and these disabled people and those around them need information on how to cope with their disabilities. The Quadriplegic Association of Southern Africa (QASA) firmly endorses Inspiration."

Besides being a source of encouragement, Inspiration is a lifestyle magazine, publishing travel features, regular legal, financial and IT columns, sports news with particular emphasis on disabled sports, interesting high profile personality interviews, restaurant and movie revues and news from the QASA.

Through Inspiration, Primedia Publishing plans to contribute to the awareness of the needs of people who live with spinal cord injuries linking in with fundraising and awareness events such as Super Cap Day, which is run by the QASA.

Primedia Publishing has traditionally concentrated on a number of clearly identified specialist interest markets. It successfully services these specifically targeted markets across consumer, custom and business-to-business publications.

The first issue of Inspiration is to be available in June 2002. Negotiations with a managing editor for Inspiration are in hand, and this appointment will be announced shortly.
