M&G questions SABC's ethics
NEWSWATCH: The lights appeared to have been out at the SABC, again, reports Mail & Guardian and, thanks to the ANCYL 'cretating' a furore - of sorts - with its call for the 'closer' of Twitter, Julius Malema has made it (how many times it that?) again into the Mampara of the Week ranks, reports Times Live. It also reports Dear Leader is trying his hand at producing songs and that the ANCYL is... way out of its league.
For More:
- Mail & Guardian: SABC staff 'in the dark' about Gumede story... In that bastion of communication and openness, it appears that Phil Molefe, head of news, didn't bother telling his senior editorial staff about an upcoming news item about Robert Gumede and the Mail & Guardian. What's more, it appears that the SABC failed to do a bit of 'Sole searching' - it never approached M&G reporter Sam Sole for comment after Gumede accused the latter of accepting a 'bribe.
- Times Live: Mampara of the week: Julius Malema...
- Times Live: Mellow Julius changes his tune... The latest element in JuJu's nationalisation campaign... Some people reckon If I were a Carpenter could have been one of his early efforts, but he was too modest to talk about it, while others hold the view that If I had a Hammer was definitely one of his.
- Times Live: Twitter way out of their league... Columnist Toby Shapshak picks "cretation" as his word of the year.
