Avusa, The Times, bloggers and disciplinary action

NEWSWATCH: The launch of The Times has helped increase the revenue of the media division of Avusa (formerly Johnnic Communications) by 15% to more than R1 billion, according to The Times, whose editor Ray Hartley blogs that it is now “one of this country's largest daily papers” with its first officially audited ABC figure of 126 413. Avusa will also continue to make history this afternoon, according to Arthur Goldstuck on the Mail & Guardian's Thought Leader, with the disciplinary hearing at 3pm today, Thursday, 29 November 2007, of Sowetan sub-editor Llewellyn Kriel who “has been found guilty of ‘gross misconduct' for what he has written in his blog [on Thought Leader]”.
