SA Press Ombudsman Johan Retief resigns
NEWSWATCH: News24 reports that South African Press Ombudsman Johan Retief has resigned from the Press Council for personal reasons.

Retief confirmed to News24 that he has left the voluntary organisation, and that his decision has nothing to do with the current media environment.
Pieer du Toit of News24 confirms that Retief wrote the judgment finding against the Sunday Times about the newspaper’s now discredited stories.
