Submissions for Code of Advertising Practice changes close Feb
The closing date for proposals by members of the marketing communications industry, consumer bodies and the public for changes to the Code of Advertising Practice is 28 February 2011. The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) coordinates this process on behalf of industry and will then apply the rules.
Submissions must be done by clearly motivated proposals together with a draft clause, which has been evaluated and agreed upon by the particular industry sector and its member body. A task team will consider all proposals for change and will make recommendations, which will finally be approved at the its Annual General Meeting.
