Rick Joubert joins Yonder Media

Joubert led the formation of Vodacom's dedicated mobile media business unit, and successfully established this unit, one of the first within a mobile phone operator worldwide. “I have had a tremendous career at Vodacom and have enjoyed exceptional support throughout my time there”, says Joubert. “It would not have been possible to execute on some of our more left-field projects at the company without the entrepreneurial space and autonomy to do so and for that its top management deserves a lot of credit”

“I have however been looking to play an expanded role in the development of mobile as the seventh of the mass media, not only within the mobile operator space, but across the mobile marketing and media value chain globally. I was particularly attracted to the quality of the Yonder management team. Their intellectual capital and some very interesting technology in development strongly position the group for tremendous growth,” concludes Joubert.
