JWT strengthens planning discipline

JWT has appointed Orlando Hooper-Greenhill to take on the new role of director of Global Planning at JWT, starting January 21, 2008. His primary responsibility will be to lead the development of JWT's planning skills for international and global brands.

“The hiring of Orlando is part of the agency's continuing commitment to the importance of planning,” says CEO Bob Jeffrey. “In our increasingly connected world, it is vital that brands are properly planned across regions. Orlando will help us lead industry thinking in this area.”

Hooper-Greenhill will be based in London and will report to Guy Murphy who heads JWT's worldwide account planning function. He previously served as head of international planning at Bartle Bogle, London, working with marketers such as Diageo and Unilever. According to AdFeed.com he also spent time at Omnicom Group's TBWA as a planning partner, devoting time to accounts such as financial-services firm Abbey and Eurostar, among others.
