AFSTEREO leaps forward with real-time monitoring

Real-time monitoring of- and reporting on- radio and television content has taken a giant leap forward.

A new version of the Gnosko real-time radio and television tracking and reporting web portal, Gnosko Version 2 (V2), has gone live on 1 August 2015. This is no mere upgrade; it is a complete revision of the portal and gives the user more information. The primary reason behind this revision is Gnosko's African expansion project. Whilst multiple versions of Gnosko will run across Africa, cross-territory reports will be available under one localized portal.

For the uninitiated, the Gnosko portal provides a wealth of data gained from monitoring the actual broadcast outputs of most of the major radio and television stations in the country. Using AirCheck technology under exclusive license, Gnosko reports on what the stations have transmitted, and when the item was transmitted. The data gives an insight into the business and provides a wealth of intelligence to marketers, strategists and programmers alike.

Gnosko V2 has a completely new look and feel, with a more corporate appearance and substantially improved functionality. Everything now works from "left to right on the horizontal" and once a user has logged in, the entire advertising and music reports menu list appears on the far left of the screen/page.

This makes the portal more user-friendly and intuitive. It is now easier to select the reports required, following which the user has the option of either: working with the data online "synchronously"; and use the simultaneously available web/Excel/PDF and/or Word formats; or work with the data "asynchronously" (off-line) where gnosko.com is instructed to send pre-determined and requested data either personally archived, or instantly e-mailed to a defined distribution list for sharing across a team network.

This will eliminate waiting for complex reports as these can now be generated in the background with the user selecting the format in which the reports are required (.PDF; Excel; CSV). The system will mail the report once it is generated.

The report scheduler function enables the scheduling of reports with pre-defined parameters, which can then be e-mailed according to user reequirements. Multiple schedules can be configured for the same report in increments which include: daily, weekly, or monthly.

The comprehensive range of music and advertising reports available from Gnosko will give users substantial insight into the overall landscape as well as provide information that can be used to gain a competitive advantage.

Alongside the Gnosko offering, [www.afstereo.com AFSTEREO]] will continue to provide compliance-certification data and performance verification with regard to advertising campaigns on radio. The AFSTEREO monitoring network is being expanded to other countries and will soon be providing real-time media reports across radio and television in: Ethiopia; Kenya; Uganda; Tanzania; Botswana; Namibia; Zimbabwe; Mozambique; Angola and South Africa. The company aims to become the trusted Pan African source of current radio and television compliance certification and market intelligence data, supplied on a 24X7X365 basis.
