Tourvest and Lagardère Travel Retail sign strategic agreement to boost travel retail in Africa

Tourvest Group and Lagardère Travel Retail have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on retail, hospitality, and tourism development initiatives, beginning in South Africa.

The partnership will initially focus on opportunities in the South African travel retail market, valued at over $100m, with plans to expand across the African continent and into the Middle East, where the market exceeds $3.5bn.

By leveraging Tourvest’s regional expertise and operational presence alongside Lagardère’s global retail knowledge and innovative concepts, the collaboration aims to enhance the travel retail experience and drive growth across key markets in Africa.
