Marlene Truter Communications to handle publicity for Nouvelle wine

Marlene Truter Communications has been contracted to handle the publicity for the commercial release of the world's first 100% Nouvelle - a brand new wine made from the first South African white wine cultivar.

The new grape variety, a crossing between semillon and crouchen blanc, was developed between 1958 and 1965 by Prof Chris Orffer, the head of Stellenbosch University's Department of Oenology and Viticulture.

Boland Cellar in Paarl will release 400 cases of Nouvelle from the 2005 vintage later this month.
