Code 10 Driver

A position has become available at the Pretoria Branch, for a Code 10 Driver.

Please note that that candidates that fulfil employment equity will be prioritized

Mandatory position requirements

• Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
• Code 10 driver’s license
• Valid PDP
• License and/or experience in operating a truck mounted crane

Duties and responsibilities

• Delivering slabs and other Interslab material to clients.
• Client liaison when delivering stock.
• Assisting with the loading and off-loading of the truck and other trucks in the warehouse, and on clients’ premises.
• Stock control with invoices and delivery notes.
• Responsible for filling in a time sheet and keeping a record of trips and times.
• Ensuring that the vehicle is always kept in a roadworthy and legal condition.
• Daily maintenance and cleaning of the crane and truck.
• Ensuring the safety for operating the crane of the truck.
• The vehicle must be checked daily for things like (this list is not exhaustive):

• Oil levels (including crane) tyre condition and pressure 
• Check and report if lights are faulty
• Windscreen wiper condition, as well as chips or cracks
• Inspection of A frames

• Always keep the vehicle in a reasonable and overall clean condition.
• Ensure that tyre pairs are matched per side and axle.
• Responsible to ensure that the vehicle and crane services are performed correctly and according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Ensure that the vehicle’s license is renewed at least 3 weeks prior to expiry.
• Ensure that your personal PDP is always valid and up to date.
• Assisting with the general cleaning of the warehouse and premises in conjunction with other co-workers. Perform any other reasonable and lawful duties/instructions that may be required from time to time.
