Probation period:
A six-month probation period will be implemented. During this time, either party may terminate the employment with a seven-day notice period.
After the probation, the company’s standard termination and leave policies will apply and must be adhered to by both parties.
Key responsibilities:
Your main tasks and duties will include:
- Preparing and verifying export documentation, including:
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Forwarder's instructions
- Road manifests
- Master airway bills
- Bills of lading
- Certificates of origin
- Export licenses
- Third-party inspection certificates (if required)
- Ensuring full compliance with local and international customs and shipping regulations
- Coordinating transport bookings with:
- Internal loading teams
- Road haulage companies
- Shipping lines, airlines
- 3rd party logistics providers (3PL) and couriers
- Tracking and tracing shipments; proactively communicating any delays or changes to relevant internal or external stakeholders
- Maintaining regular contact with international clients to:
- Provide order updates
- Address export-related queries
- Resolve delivery concerns
- Handling returns, delays, and complaints in coordination with relevant internal departments
- Ensuring that all exports comply with applicable trade laws, sanctions, and international agreements
- Keeping accurate records of export transactions for audits and compliance reporting
- Maintaining filing systems and databases for all documentation and customer shipment records
- Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or ad hoc export/logistics reports
- Performing general logistics admin and support tasks as required
- Matric (Grade 12) minimum
- Relevant diploma in logistics, supply chain, or similar (advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar exports / logistics assistant role
- Proven experience in commercial exports, ideally within African and international markets
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production-based company is essential
- Familiarity with customs documentation, international trade procedures, and Incoterms

- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written) – non-negotiable
- Exceptional attention to detail with a natural ability to spot small errors
- Highly structured, organised, and consistent
- Able to follow instructions precisely and work independently
- Excellent concentration and focus over extended periods
- Able to handle repetitive tasks without losing quality or accuracy
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems

- Willingness to work overtime when required, especially during high-volume or month-end periods
