Litho Supervisor

Our client, a well-established leader in the print and packaging industry, is seeking an experienced and quality-focused Litho Supervisor to oversee their busy sheetfed litho department. This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for maintaining the highest print standards in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the performance, quality, and upkeep of the litho presses, ensuring precision, consistency, and efficiency across all production runs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all activities within the litho sheetfed department, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  

• Operate and oversee Heidelberg A1 presses running a variety of stocks for packaging products.
  

• Conduct detailed quality checks throughout production to ensure superior print results and colour consistency.
  

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, ensuring regular housekeeping and maintenance of all presses.
  

• Lead and motivate a team of press operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  

• Collaborate with pre-press, die-cutting, and finishing departments to ensure smooth production flow and on-time delivery.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve printing defects, colour inconsistencies, and mechanical issues efficiently.
  

• Drive process improvement initiatives focused on reducing makeready times, minimising waste, and maximising productivity.
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience in lithographic printing, with a proven ability to operate and manage Heidelberg A1 sheetfed presses.
  

• In-depth understanding of offset printing processes, colour management, and press calibration for consistent, high-quality output.
  

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build a high-performing, motivated team.
  

• Meticulous attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset and a commitment to achieving top-tier results.
  

• Solid planning, coordination, and communication abilities to manage workflow across multiple departments.
