Job description
Digital Laser cutter Position available at an exciting printing company based in Cape Town – Catch Media Print SpecialistsLaser Operator or Laser Cutting Machine Operator, involves setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to cut and shape various materials. This role requires programming the machine, monitoring the cutting process, and ensuring quality and accuracy of the finished products. It also includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Must have experience and has worked in a large format print environment.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:Technical Skills: Experience with operating and maintaining laser cutting machines, understanding of machine settings and parameters, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and find solutions to production problems.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in cutting and quality control.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
Must have at least 5 years experience
