The Forty Under 40 Awards celebrate and honour South Africa’s young go-getters and entrepreneurs across various industries.
Potgieter’s nomination recognises his exceptional contributions to media and broadcasting, as well as his dedication to community engagement and philanthropic initiatives across the region. As a cornerstone of OFM’s morning lineup, Potgieter has earned a reputation for blending sharp wit with purposeful broadcasting, creating radio that is both entertaining and engaging.
Beyond the airwaves, his commitment to community upliftment, demonstrated through initiatives benefiting organisations like Reach for a Dream and the Cancer Association of South Africa, highlights the leadership principles championed by the Forty Under 40 platform.
Central Media group chief executive officer, Nick Efstathiou, says Potgieter’s nomination is well-deserved.

Public voting for nominees is officially open at fortyunder40.co.za and will run until 30 August 2026. Nominees will gather at the Under Forty Champion Summit on the 3rd of October, where winners across the various categories will be announced during a prestigious awards evening.
