The partnership brings together Forever Resorts’ deep understanding of South African tourism with CIH’s long-term investment perspective, creating new opportunities for growth while preserving the experiences and destinations generations of guests have come to know.
Importantly, it remains business as usual for the group. Forever Resorts will continue operating under its well-known flagship brand, ensuring that all existing resorts, hotels, and guest offerings remain a core part of its ongoing operations.
The group proudly reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality, the highest standards of service, and providing memorable family experiences. For guests, employees, business partners and stakeholders, this marks a seamless continuation of the Forever Resorts brand, while opening exciting possibilities for the future.
People at the heart
Forever Resorts managing director, Eugene van Jaarsveldt, welcomed the transaction highlighting the opportunities it presents for the group’s continued strategic growth and development.
“We are very excited about this next chapter of Forever Resorts, and look forward to working closely with our new ownership as we continue to build on the strength and potential of this remarkable business.
"Forever Resorts has been part of the South African hospitality landscape for several decades. What makes this business truly unique is not only the scenic destinations where we operate, but also the people who bring those destinations to life and the memories they create for our guests.
“Our focus has always been about people – our guests, our team, and the communities we are privileged to serve. They remain at the heart of everything we do,” van Jaarsveldt said.

Building on heritage
Guests can continue to enjoy the unforgettable experiences that have made Forever Resorts a trusted choice for family leisure and adventure travel in South Africa. The group will continue to offer a diverse portfolio of resorts, hotels, lodges, and self-catering accommodation, together with beautifully maintained caravan and camping facilities.
This is further complemented by premium conference, wedding, and function venues, alongside an exciting array of leisure facilities across the portfolio. These include warm-water swimming pools, thrilling water parks, rejuvenating hot mineral springs, hydros, and spa experiences, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, and fishing, and a wide range of family entertainment.
“As we look to the future, our focus remains on building on the reputation of Forever Resorts, driving continued growth, nurturing the valued relationships that have contributed to our success, exploring new opportunities, and continuing to create safe, innovative, and extraordinary experiences for our guests.
“We are incredibly grateful to our many loyal guests who have continued to support Forever Resorts over the years. The relationships we have built with our guests are one of the greatest assets of this business, and we are excited to continue building those connections together as our Forever Family,” van Jaarsveldt shared.
