Motivation Letter of Ivona Naidoo

Having worked on an executive level in a various industries including Financial, IT, Online Advertising, financial health and wellness and most recently management consulting and learning services, I am confident that my extensive knowledge and expertise as an Executive Assistant would be highly beneficial to your business. I am capable of adding much value to your company should my application be considered.
Being involved in various industries has equipped me with the diligence needed in support functionality. I am a dependable worker with good administration skills, balanced by superior people skills. I enjoy taking on new challenges and always conquer these challenges by using my initiative as well as combining my attention to detail with my excellent organization skills. I am capable of working independently and require minimal supervision once I know what is expected of me.
During my tenure at The LR Management Group, over and above my daily tasks, I was instrumental in successfully managing the renovation of the Senior Partners residence. I assisted in finding accommodation in Johannesburg for one of my colleagues and successfully coordinated the move into her new apartment.
With Metropolitan Health, I successfully assisted in implementing a system to shorten the response times for management approvals by structuring an online authorisation process. I also successfully implemented a cost cutting exercise by sourcing cheaper and efficient vendors for all catering and consumables within the department.
While contracted to Old Mutual as PA (project admin), I was effective in the coordination of all departmental functions as well as fulfilling my role as departmental PA and office administration.
During my time with Sasria, I was actively involved in two major projects namely the design and publishing of the web site and the coordination of the IT departmental presentation for the company's new strategy which was presented to the Chairman at the time, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa.
Prior to this, in every other position I have occupied, I have had key involvement in the implementation and maintenance of staff and company functions, local and international travel co-ordination including passport and visa applications. Since moving to Cape Town from Johannesburg in 2006, I have been instrumental in successfully systematizing my husband's office environment i.e. designing stationary, setting up a filing system, entering and maintaining the customers and stock databases, invoicing, etc.
Since December 2007, I was involved in the establishment and organization of our own Indian restaurant and takeaway business in Durbanville. Unforeseen circumstances and major competition resulted in us closing the business and I began contracting at Old Mutual in July 2008.
