Andy Elder named SVP of Riverbed in EMEA region

Andy Elder has been appointed as Riverbed Technology's senior vice president (SVP) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Elder will be reporting to Riverbed SVP and chief sales officer, Paul Mountford, and will be tasked with company's sales strategy and go-to-market execution in the EMEA region.

Elder will also be driving and accelerating the next wave of growth across the region. Elder was formerly employed at Intel Security as the president for the EMEA region as well as at Intellectual Ventures as the executive VP of global licencing of intellectual property and invention rights and spent 13 years at Cisco in various roles. Earlier on in his career, Elder held a couple of positions at 3Com.
