SA Events Council appoints new chair and vice chair

According to the SA Events Council (SAEC) policy, its leadership is rotated every six months. In August 2021, Ellen Oosthuizen, the chair of Professional Conference Organiser's Alliance, will pass on the SAEC chairmanship for the next term to the Exhibit and Events Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) chair, Gill Gibbs.

Gibbs is known in the exhibition and events industry as a passionate leader who embraces challenge and change.

Raylene Johnson succeeds Glenton De Kock, CEO of SAACI, as SAEC vice chair. Johnson is a small business owner with an events, catering and rental business.
