MpowerFM supports The Greatest Train Race
Join MpowerFM on Saturday the 21st of August 2010 as they partner with the 24th Greatest Train Race in the Highveld. The Greatest Train Race is an annual community event which raises funds for specifically selected charitable organisations in the communities of Middelburg and eMalahleni.
The race against the train, between eMalahleni and Middelburg, has attracted close to 20 000 runners and walkers this year and remains a community investment project driven by the community for the community. The purpose of the event is a nation building exercise as well as an opportunity to raise funds that can be re-invested into the communities.
There are a number of sponsorship opportunities still available for both businesses and individuals. As a non-runner you can pledge any donation, from food, clothes and blankets to money. You can also bring your donation to Presenter, Jeffrey Stevens, at the MPowerFM hitmobile at the race venue in Middelburg on Saturday 21 August.
