Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting function, including payroll, SARS submissions, financial reporting, stock control, debt collection, and compliance. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively with both management and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounting processes, including capturing, processing, and reconciling transactions.
• Compile, review, and submit all SARS documentation (VAT, Tax, PAYE, SDL, UIF, employee leave, annual statutory returns).
• Administer and process staff payroll.
• Process supplier invoices and customer billing.
• Oversee stock control and inventory management.
• Conduct debt collection and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting degree (beneficial).

Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong understanding of SARS processes and statutory compliance.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience in a similar role.

Working Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 08h00 – 17h00
• Friday: 08h00 – 15h00
• Alternating Saturdays: 08h00 – 15h00
