91 delegates graduate from Engen's computer school

The eleventh group of students to graduate from the Engen Computer School have received certificates for completing various computer and business skills courses. The school equips delegates with introductory-level computer skills, which cover nine units of the National Certificate: Information Technology: End User Computing.

Thandeka Cele, Public Affairs Manager at Engen Refinery, says the academy forms part of Engen's efforts to empower people and assist unemployed graduates to find employment, "26 of this year's graduates have already either found employment or been accepted into learnership programmes, which shows that Engen is making a big difference in the lives of many people living in the south Durban community."

Engen and Added Advantage Academy, who runs the school on behalf of the refinery, have provided new computer skills to 1042 graduates since joining forces in 2009, which has helped almost three hundred graduates find employment.
