Ackerman calls for SA optimism
Raymond Ackerman, founder and chairman of SA retail giant Pick n Pay, recently spoke out against the pessimism of South Africans in a speech at the Cape Times/Safmarine Business Breakfast. Recalling a South Africa of yesteryear, he said that the country "today is a far, far better place than it was before 1994", and asked locals to resist the urge to emigrate.
