New Cap Classique from Philip Jonker

Philip Jonker, of Weltevrede Estate, has launched his fourth and final Cap Classique, Philip Jonker Brut Lindelize Rosé. Named after his wife, Lindelize, it is produced mainly from pinot noir and is described as salmon coloured Cap Classique with a delicate mousse, yeasty nose with hints of cherries and strawberries, freshly picked rose petals and a slight peachiness on the palate with a lingering finish. Versatile, it is recommended with Turkish Delight (this pairing was a big hit at the Cape Town launch at Bizerca Bistro), strawberries and cream and grilled crayfish. Approximate retail price: R99.
