      Job description

We are seeking to expand our fulfillment team in the picker and packer position on a casual basis for the upcoming peak trade period.

Core responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

      Order picking and packing:
      • Begin each day by picking and packing orders as per the order list.
      • Orders must be scanned individually — under no circumstances may an item be packed without being scanned.
      • Ensure every order is packed with the correct product, quantity, and packaging.
      • Once packed and scanned, place the order on the fulfillment table for waybilling and sealing.
      • Move fulfilled and sealed orders to the dispatch area.
       Reseller orders:
      • Reseller orders will be assigned to designated pickers.
      • Picker is responsible for:
      • Packing the full order
      • Initial checking of all items
      • Sending to Ops for final checking
      • Once confirmed:
      • Bubble wrap must be used to secure items and prevent movement during transit.
      • Seal the box completely.
      • Attach a clear and accurate description of contents and quantity to the box.
      • Ensure the box is signed off by both the packer and the checker.
      Additional duties:
      • Stock replenishment: Refill shelves and workstations as needed.
      • Set preparation: Assist in preparing and assembling product sets and gift bags.
      • Box preparation: Build and prep boxes for upcoming orders.
      • Driver assistance: Support the driver with loading or organizing deliveries when required.
      Stock reporting:
      • Report any low stock, missing items, or product issues.
      • Flag damaged or defective goods immediately.
      • Incident reporting: Notify the supervisor or Ops of any accidents, breakages, or problems on the warehouse floor.
      • Work area maintenance: Keep your packing station and general warehouse space clean, neat, and safe.
      • Replacement protocol: If you use the last of anything (product, equipment, tools, tape, paper, etc.), you are responsible for flagging it so it can be replaced.
      • Stock taking: Participate in regular or ad-hoc inventory counts when required.

      Minimum requirements:
      • Grade 12 / matric (or equivalent)
      • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, so you can read order lists, write accurate content descriptions, and report issues clearly
      • Computer literate: comfortable with basic computer use, handheld or barcode scanners, and simple order or stock systems
      • Good numeracy for checking quantities, stock counts and order accuracy
      • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures exactly, especially scanning and sign-off protocols
      • Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift and carry boxes of up to [X] kg
      • Available to work flexible hours, including possible extended shifts and weekends during peak trade
      • Reliable and punctual, with your own transport or access to reliable transport to Epping
      Advantageous:
      • Previous experience in picking and packing, warehouse work, or e-commerce fulfilment
      • Experience with stock taking or inventory counts
      • Experience in a cosmetics, FMCG or retail environment
      Personal Attributes:
      • Works well under pressure and at pace during high-volume periods
      • Team player who also works well independently
      • Responsible and honest, with care in handling stock
      • Safety-conscious, keeps a tidy work area, and reports problems proactively
