Lead sponsor for Electric bike ride for climate change

Santam has confirmed its role as the lead sponsor for Zipplies' Climate Challenge 2009. Robert Zipplies, a well-known sustainability expert and editor of Bending the Curve, will cycle from Cape Town to Durban via Johannesburg and Pretoria on an electric bicycle. His aim is to raise awareness about climate change and to encourage South Africans to participate actively in reducing their personal carbon emissions, creating a low-carbon society.
