SA Biotech company the first to receive EU biocide approval

Biodx, a South African biotech that manufactures disinfectants with 99.987% SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) efficacy is the first SA biotech to receive the stringent EU (European Union) Biocidal Registration.

A biocidal product is a product containing an active ingredient designed to destroy, render harmless or exert a controlling effect on a harmful organism. The active ingredient in a biocidal product may be, inter alia, a natural substance or a chemical substance.

Biodx uses natural citrus, a product which is safe for humans, hands and the environment, has a natural citrus extract stabilised with an organic, biodegradable compound that contains no chlorine, ethanol or aldehydes.
