SAWi releases the Grand Wines Collection
The South African Wine Index (SAWi) has released the Grand Wines Collection (GWC) - a wine selection that puts South Africa's consistently top-scoring wines in the spotlight and represents wines that were never identified as a group before.
This milestone was achieved through the application of 'Algorithm of Excellence', which saw the results of blind tasting competitions continuously collated through exacting criteria, and only wines with a score of 93 points and above from the results were included in the collection. The GWC currently has over 400 South African wines from 140 wineries.
