Twitter conducts test on harmfully misleading tweets by politicians
TNW reports that Twitter has tested a new feature that labels and corrects tweets by politicians that are deemed harmfully misleading.
The feature labels misleading tweets with bright orange warnings and places tweets from verified fact-checkers and journalists underneath it. Twitter could also include corrections from other users participating in a new crowdsourced "community reports" feature.
The company says the demo is one of several that may roll out in the weeks to come.
