Sanef congratulates veteran journos on receiving the Order of Ikhamanga
The South African National Editors' Forum (Sanef) has congratulated veteran journalists - Mathatha Tsedu and Benjamin Pogrund - for receiving the Order of Ikhamanga from President Cyril Ramaphosa. The Order of Ikhamanga recognises South African citizens who have excelled in the fields of arts, culture, literature, music, journalism and sport.
Tsedu has decades of experience as a journalist and editor. He is also a founding member of Sanef and has, over the years, played a key role in building the stature of the organisation.
Pogrund, who now lives in Israel, is also the author of the popular biography How can man die better: The life of Robert Sobukwe - which focuses on the life of liberation struggle stalwart and founder of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania, Robert Sobukwe.
