Competition Board approves MMI acquisition of CareCross
The Competition Board has approved the acquisition of CareCross Health Group, including a majority share in Occupational Care South Africa (OCSA), by MMI Holdings, which was announced in June 2014. The acquisition extends the ability of MMI and its Health Solutions division to offer holistic solutions to existing and prospective clients.
CareCross delivers affordable healthcare through provider networks that deliver managed care and administration services to approximately 200,000 medical scheme beneficiaries. Through a joint initiative with OCSA, a market leader in workplace health and wellness solutions, CareCross delivers integrated occupational health solutions to approximately 55,000 workers nationally.
