The Maids premiers in Cape Town

On 7 February, 2011 award winning actresses Denise Newman, Susan Danford and newcomer, Tamryn Spiers took to the stage for the triumphant opening night of 'The Maids'. Energy was high as the actresses gave a heated and ground breaking performance which left the audience wanting more.

Inspired by a true incident in Paris, guests were transported back to 1947 France as they witnessed the desperate relationships of two sisters and their Madame. Written by a literary genius and a criminal, Jean Genet, this thought-provoking, timeless thriller is a striking portrayal of how as individuals and a society, we view our lives in terms of what we do rather than who we are.
